December 31, 2009
Since this is the final Cash for Silver USA blog post for 2009, we would like to take this opportunity to wish one and all a very Happy New Year, as 2010 rolls in. We hope that the previous year have been mostly great, and if it’s not so ideally great, then, we hope the next year will be better. Tomorrow, everything starts anew again.
As we approach the end of one year in anticipation of the following one, we become somewhat reflective of past achievements or lost opportunities, such as the number of times we have possibly considered whether to sell silver to this silver buyer, or another. Of course, there may be more serious considerations such as whether it’s better to invest in a Silver Peace Coin or a Silver Morgan Coin. Perhaps, we feel that we should have shown higher judgment when it came to the selection of a silver gift for a silver anniversary? Whether there were failures or triumphs, at the very least, we know what it means to be “born with a silver spoon” and the significance of a “cloud with silver lining.”
Looking forward to the New Year also means making resolutions. Many people say that New Year resolutions are meaningless and that people who make them would forget all about them by the end of the first week of the New Year. Well, it may be true, just like Long John Silver is a heroic villain or the Flowery Monk is a villainous hero. However, they probably forget that there are just as many people who made their New Year resolutions and stuck to them, just like Delilah, and more recently, Carl Lewis.
As you reflect on these stories, you can enter 2010 with some nostalgia and some more confidence that it will be better. Happy New Year!
