Metal-detecting Hobbyists Find Lost Gold Ring
Some of us have hobbies that we find very enjoyable and they help us to relax, but these hobbies do not always help other people in direct ways. It you like to knit and you knit someone a scarf, then that is an instance where your hobby helped you and someone else can say they benefited from your hobby in a tangible way.
But what if your hobby was metal detecting? Can that hobby be used to help another person in a tangible way? The answer (as you have probably guessed) is that yes, of course it can.
Two man in England who like nothing more than to scour the land with metal detectors did just that and reunited a 72-year old man with a gold ring that was a family heirloom.
Unlike similar stories where people have found gold jewelry in one place and had to trace it back to the owner, this man's ring was found on his very own land.
Two men who like the thrill of metal detecting asked the man's permission to go over his land. Since the men have a reputation for being careful and considerate metal detectors, he granted them permission.
It only took a day and a half for the men to find the gold ring. This gold ring was a gift that the man had received from his father more than fifty years earlier and he had lost it 25 years ago. The metal-detecting hobbyists found the ring and returned it to the man, who was very happy to get it back.
Now these men and the man who was reunited with his gold ring are in England. And if you are in England, you may be able to get these same men to come look for gold rings and other treasures at your place. But it is more likely that you will have to do a little digging yourself. It is also likely that you will not have to step outside as those men did. You probably have a lot of gold jewelry waiting to be discovered right inside you very own house or apartment. Gold rings do have a way of getting away from you, as do gold chains and gold earrings.
Once you find some gold jewelry that you no long want to keep, remember that you can sell gold to a gold buyer and get cash for gold.
