Fabulous Gold Jewelry Showcased in "Bride Wars"
The stars of the brand new film Bride Wars, Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson, are being much admired for the gold jewelry that they wore in the film. Of course that gold jewelry probably did not belong to either of them, but since they are the stars of the movie, they are given the credit for what is probably the costume designer’s great taste in choosing gold jewelry that would accent the actresses’ best features.
Before the movie was released to the general public movie critics and others in the media already had the chance to see it. IF you want to see the fabulous gold pieces in "Bride Wars"," fear not, it is just about to come down the aisle and arrive in theaters. Now that I have heard in advance that there is some eye-catching gold jewelry on display in the film, I am going to try to remember to look out for it.
Some in the media thought very highly of the gold bracelets that Anne Hathaway wears in one scene. In a different scene, Kate Hudson wears a gold necklace that is a scene-stealer all on its own.
In the movie, these two young actresses play best friends who end up becoming rivals when they learn that their weddings, both planned for the same venue that the two have dreamed about since childhood, are booked on the same day. This mistake has the turns the friends into bitter enemies. What happened to 'Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.' as it says in the old song, a song that the movie’s characters probably sang as little girls?
Beautiful gold bracelets and stunning gold necklaces notwithstanding, gold really is not something associated with brides as much as it used to be.
Our mothers and grandmothers just had to have gold rings when they got married. Real yellow gold--none of that fake stuff. But these days engaged couples shy away from yellow gold. They often prefer platinum and sometimes white gold.
Fashions come and go, but one thing that never goes out of style is cash. And you can get cash for gold when you sell old, unwanted or broken gold jewelry to a gold buyer. In fact, if you have an old gold wedding ring from a relative that you are willing to give up, you will find that you will be rewarded quite well with cash for gold should you decide to sell it.
