Earlier this month, someone paid $18,300 at auction for what is reputed to be a pile of Elvis Presley's hair. This was hair that was removed from his head when he joined the army in the 1950s.

Can you imagine paying that kind of money for hair? How do they even know that it really belonged to Elvis?  Why would hair clippings be worth that much?

It has also been announced that another treasure that belonged to Elvis is going up for sale soon, but this item would be valuable even d it had not onced belonged to The King.

Someone will have the chance to buy a very unique gold ring that Elvis once wore while performing. Since it is gold ring and we all know the ever-increasing value of gold, it would be worth something no matter what. The fact that it once adorned the finger of a music superstar makes it worth that much more.

And this gold ring has a story that goes with it--Elvis gave it to a concert goer in 1975 after that man caught the guitar Elvis threw into the crowd, but let someone else have it. Eventually Elvis brought the man onstage and gave him a gold rind with 19 diamonds.

We are not sure where this man is now and imagine that if someone set to sell a gold ring of this magnitude, there must be a pretty good reason why. Perhaps that man is deceased and no one in his family has that much nostalgia for Elvis.
