Earlier this week, we talked about colloidal silver. This is the suspension of silver particles in liquid.
During the modern era, prior to the 1930s, colloidal silver was thought to be a natural solution to rid oneself of bacteria, virus, and fungi. But even before then, the people of ancient Rome, also were certain that colloidal silver could be used to cure some illnesses and uncomfortable conditions.
Silver was known to act as an antibiotic. But in modern times, doctors do not think that silver can be used as a cure-all. Many medical professionals will tell you that it is dangerous to ingest silver or to even use silver as a topical remedy, applying it to the skin.
Silver is still sold and people still take it because they’ve heard that colloidal silver can ease a number of conditions, including: inflammatory issues and even pneumonia.
One man who took colloidal silver was even interviewed by news outlets because of his unusual experience: he developed argyria.
Taking in too much silver can result in a condition known as argyria. Argyria has various symptoms, but the tell-tale sign that a person has it is when the skin turns a bluish-gray. This happens when the sunlight darkens the silver that is deposited in a person’s skin. Argyria is not reversible and so far we have not found a way to cure it.
The man with the blue skin who has been seen on television both ingested and applied colloidal silver to his skin. Perhaps as first he just has a bluish tinge, but eventually his skin took on a rather deep blue tone. Despite the fact that he now has blue skin, something which has had lasting effects on his life and socialization, the man continues to take colloidal silver.
Taking so much silver really did change his life. People are curious about anyone or anything that seems different. So, no doubt he gets plenty of stares and questions. And there is no doubt that some of these questions are quite rude. He admits that at times people are not very kind.
So in a medical sense, there is such as thing as too much silver. But you don’t have to worry about that when you contact a silver buyer. They will not turn you away no matter how much silver you want to sell. No, you probably shouldn’t ingest a lot of silver, but there is no problem if you sell silver in large quantities.
